Middleburgh: One year after Irene
One year ago, on August 28th, 2011, FOX23's Katherine Underwood and photographer Peter Busa made the trip to Gilboa for a news story.Irene hit that morning and they got stuck on a road in Middleburgh with no way out. They spent the night with one generous family and other storm victims. Since then, many of those families have rebuilt with the help of countless volunteers and Schoharie County has received more than $10.2 million in state and federal aid. Tax help for flood victims in Schoharie County
Victims of Irene and Lee are still dealing with cleanup and now have another big undertaking, tax time. Congressman Paul Tonko held a meeting at Schoharie High to help get some questions answered.
