Jason Caterina is the Morning Meteorologist at FOX23 News. Jason joined the team in September 2010, and was previously a Chief Meteorologist in Burlington, VT.

Before coming to FOX23, Jason worked as the Chief Meteorologist for the FOX/ABC stations in Burlington. Before that, he was on the air in Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, Utica, Watertown and here in Albany for Capital News 9 (now YNN).

Jason was born in Niagara Falls but grew up mainly in the Albany area graduating from Colonie Central High School. He is a graduate of both SUNY Oswego and the University of Albany with Bachelors degrees in Broadcasting and Mass Communications and Meteorology. Jason loves the challenge of forecasting weather here in the Capital Region. He says there are so many factors that come into play it makes every day interesting and fun.

Jason has traveled the world with his wife, from Paris to Rome and London to camping in the Serengeti Plains and the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, Africa. Jason is an avid snowboarder and has voiced ski and snowboard reports for radio stations across the country for the past 15 years. When he’s not on the hill or forecasting the weather, his hobbies include updating his 100 year old house, playing Wii with his kids, golf, and traveling with his family.
