Jeff Saperstone joined FOX23 NEWS in September 2003 as a general assignment reporter.

He was one of the lead reporters on the station's coverage of the Governor Eliot Spitzer scandal and he traveled to Boston to cover the sudden cancer diagnosis of Senator Ted Kennedy. You can find Jeff's reports on FOX23 News at 10 weeknights or behind the anchor desk on weekends.

In 2006 he was honored by the Associated Press for his inside look at what a specialized group of firefighters go through to train.

Jeff comes to us from Capital News 9 where he was an associate producer and assignment editor. He started out as an intern at FOX23 News and moved up the ranks. He is a Guilderland native and is extremely happy to be covering the area he calls home.

He graduated from Ithaca College's Park School of Communications with a degree in broadcast journalism. While there Jeff was again honored by the Associated Press, winning first place for best newscast as news director of the college television station, beating out small market commercial stations. He also served as radio news anchor for WICB-FM.

Journalism and broadcasting have always been his passion. In his spare time Jeff likes to ski, play tennis and hit the golf course.
