Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has insisted that he is grateful for his big break in Titanic, acknowledging that the blockbuster film helped him gain full control of his highly successful career.
The epic movie skyrocketed DiCaprio into worldwide fame in 1997, making him one of Hollywood's most desirable actors.
Apart from a brief lull that sagged his career in the four years after Titanic, he has continued to prove himself by working with acclaimed directors and taking on extraordinary roles. But he says it was his part as Jack Dawson in the disaster movie that changed his life forever.
During an interview on CBS' This Morning, he admits, "You know, it's been such a long time (since Titanic), but it was such a huge part of my life, and people maybe think I have a reaction to that, to that film, but the truth is, I'm incredibly proud of it. And not only that, the movie has really made me be in control of my career." Copyright WENN.com
