Alert trooper arrests a man accused of larcenies while he was at a local store

WILTON, N.Y. – A  Wilton man was arrested while attempting to sell back used computer items at a local store.

State Trooper Anthony Dyer was investigating larcenies of computer gaming accessories from the Wilton Wal-Mart. Dyer entered a Game Stop to advise employees of the recent incidents. 

The employee on duty was shown security camera pictures obtained from Wal-Mart to see if he recognized the suspect.

At that time, the suspect was at the counter trying to sell back used computer items at the Game Stop.

According to authorities, the suspect was wearing the same sweatshirt in the security images with the proceeds from the crime on the counter.

Jesse Ruggiero, 22, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He will be in town court on November 19, 2013.
