ALBANY, N.Y. – The annual St. Sophia Greek Festival kicks-off in Albany Friday.

The newly crowned Tulip Queen Caitlin Whelan will cut the ribbon. It’s the largest Greek festival in the region.

The church has prepared more than 20,000 pieces of pastry and thousands of other Greek food offerings.

The festival runs through Sunday at the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Friday’s festivities begin at 6 p.m.
