CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Clifton Park pet owners are encouraged to microchip their pets after welcoming them to their new family and on Saturday there was an affordable microchip expo.
The expo will be held from noon to 4pm at Clifton Park's Public Safety Building on Maxwell Drive.
Residents are encouraged to get their cat or dog microchip which would help identify the four-legged family member if he/she gets lost. Sometimes dogs or cats won't have a collar on if they get lost or they will lose it in the process. The microchip will help bring a pet home safely.
The procedure is quick and painless from the animal. The cost is $18 which covers a lifetime registration on the website 911petchip.com.
