COLONIE, N.Y. – Despite the snow storm, the Albany International Airport is open and operating Wednesday.
Officials reported two inches of snow had been recorded at the airport around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
At least six arriving flights were cancelled Tuesday evening; therefore, the six flights that were scheduled to utilize those aircrafts Wednesday have been cancelled.
At least 15 departing flights have been cancelled.
The airport’s Snow Team began operations at the onset of the storm. The team will work 12-hour shifts until the storm has been cleared.
