Employee of club shot in the leg following argument

COLONIE, N.Y. – According to police, there a shooting at Shenanigan's club on Central Avenue early Sunday morning.

Colonie Police say they responded to a report of shots fired at the club shortly after 1 a.m.

As officers arrived, they found a 46-year-old male victim lying in the parking lot with a bullet wound to the leg. The victim is an employee of the club. He was then taken to Albany Medical Center for surgery.

According to authorities, the injury does not appear to be life threatening.

Detectives with the Colonie Police Department are investigating the incident, which include a report of a verbal altercation prior to the shooting. However, the employee may not have been the intended target of the shooting.

Colonie Police ask that anyone who witnessed the incident or that may have information about the incident to call 783-2754.
