Fire in vacant warehouse in Albany

ALBANY N.Y. –A significant amount of damage was done to a vacant warehouse after catching fire Wednesday.

The fire broke out on Erie Boulevard around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Fire officials say they had to shut down the nearby railroad during the fire. The railroad remained closed for the duration of the fire.

According to officials the blaze was under control around 4:50 a.m.

One firefighter was transported to the hospital suffering minor knee injury.

Officials are now working to try to figure out what caused the blaze.
