ALBANY, N.Y. – An acid spill at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering on Saturday morning caused local and county HAZMAT crews to respond.
Steve Janack, the spokesperson for the Nano College says at around 930AM, a vendor working in the building was draining a chemical into a treatment facility. Emergency crews were called to the scene when some fumes rose.
There doesn't appear to be a threat to public safety, according to Apple.
Janack says no injuries have been reported.
NEWS10 has a crew on the scene who say, although the scene is still active, HAZMAT teams are wrapping up.
