(BPT) - We each have an individual impact on the Earth when it comes to using resources, like water. Each person uses 5-13 gallons a day for drinking, cooking and cleaning. But our water 'splashprint' goes much deeper than that. In some cases, 1.5 miles below the Earth. Shale oil gas is an abundant source of energy, which requires water to extract. This year's World Water Day is focused on Water and Energy, and this infographic illustrates how we can tap into shale oil gas through sustainable water management.
