SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Schenectady Police Department has made an arrest in the Sunday stabbing of a man at Yates Village.
Police have charged 24-year-old Shawn Gailliard, of Schenectady, with Assault 1st-degree, a felony, for allegedly stabbing 27-year-old Marcus Reid of Schenectady.
Police say the stabbing occurred at Yates Village around 4:30 p.m. Reid suffered approximately three stab wounds after police say an altercation took place inside apartment C-17 and spilled outside.
Reid is currently listed in critical condition after undergoing surgery Albany Medical Center.
