Man faces charges after allegedly firing pellet gun at neighbor's yard

RENSSELAER, N.Y. – City Police say they have arrested a man on 19 charges after a reported disturbance between neighbors. 

According to the Rensselaer Police Department, officers responded to a Third Street home on Friday around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a male shooting a pellet gun at neighbors. 

Upon further investigation, officers determined that Christopher Killhullen, 35, was allegedly involved in a physical confrontation with a neighbor. After the incident, Killhullen is accused of firing pellets at the neighbor from his back yard. 

Police say that Killhullen was firing over a yard that contained several adults and children. 

On Saturday, police arrested Killhullen after a search warrant was executed at his home.

Killhullen has been charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third, one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth, seven counts of reckless endangerment in the second, seven counts of menacing in the second, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. 

Killhullen was arraigned and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail without bail. 

Police say a female, who also resides at the same address, was not charged at the time of the incident. The investigation is still continuing and more charges are expected
