TROY, N.Y. - Troy Police say shots were fired into an apartment on 5th Avenue Monday night for the second time this month.
Troy Police Captain John Cooney says shots went into the occupied second floor apartment around 8 p.m. as part of a "targeted shooting." Four shots went through the window and two into the building.
No one was struck by the gunfire and there were no reported injuries.
Cooney says they have recovered a Ford Explorer which police believe an unidentified suspect was driving at the time of the shooting.
Police say this is the second time this home has been targeted. The first incident happened on September 3rd when at least two shots struck the building. No one was injured.
Police say the acts do not appear to be random and seem to be targeted towards that address as a result of a confrontation between rival subjects.
The incident is under investigation.
