AMSTERDAM, N.Y. – Police responded to reports of a fight that resulted in a stabbing on Guy Park Avenue in the city Saturday.
When police arrived at a residence located at 39 Guy Park Avenue at approximately 5:30 p.m., there was no visible evidence of a fight. Police say witnesses advised them that the victim had already been transported to St. Mary's Hospital.
At that time, St. Mary's Hospital Emergency Room personnel contacted police to advise them that a stabbing victim was being treated for lacerations to his right arm and chest.
After investigation, police arrested 18-year-old Angel Morales, of the Guy Park Avenue residence, on felony charges of Assault 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.
Morales was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Jail without bail to await a future court date.
