BRUNSWICK, N.Y. – State Police say they have arrested two Vermont men following a week long arson investigation.
According to authorities, on January 13, crew responded to a call of a fully involved fire at a camp residence in Pittstown.
The Rensselaer County Fire Investigative Team and the State Police in Brunswick began in investigation shortly after the flames were extinguished.
State Police say the investigation led to the arrests of Michael Crawford, 40 and Jeffery Morin, 37. Both men have been charged with Arson 3rd Degree and Burglary 2nd Degree, both felonies.
Crawford was arraigned in Pittstown Town Court on Tuesday and Jeffrey Morin was arraigned in Brunswick Town Court on Wednesday.
Authorities say the two men were sent to the Rensselaer County Jail on no bail for further court proceedings in Pittstown Town Court.
State Police in Brunswick were assisted by the Vermont State Police, Bennington Police Department, Rensselaer County Fire Investigative Team, and the West Hoosick Fire Department.
