PRINCETOWN, N.Y. – The Princetown Town Justice appeared before his own court Wednesday to respond to misdemeanor charges.
State Police say Princetown Town Justice William Reynolds, 56, was arrested Monday night after neighbors reported hearing at least three gunshots. One of them allegedly struck a home.
Authorities wouldn't say what his intended target was, but they did say that he was uncooperative.
Reynolds was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.
Reynolds was elected as town justice back in November. State police say he'll have to recuse himself when he's scheduled to appear later this month.
