ALBANY N.Y. - 30 year old Jahmel Forbes of Albany laid in South Pearl Street suffering injuries after being shot early Sunday morning February 16. Previously the same morning police responded to two more shooting victims on Lexington Avenue.

Neighbors spoke about their feelings on the shootings. "It's frightening walking down the block. My children are afraid to go to the corner store by themselves. My youngest calls it the murder block," Said an Albany resident who did not want to be identified for fear of his own safety.

The neighbor who chooses to remain anonymous states, “He woke up this morning to cop cars and a crime scene outside his home.” According to Albany police a 16 year old girl from scotia and a 20 year old Albany man were shot near Lexington Avenue and Elk Street at around 2:15 Sunday morning. Police say both suffered gunshot wounds.
