Two injured in early morning shooting

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Schenectady Police say they are investigating an early morning shooting.

According to police, officers were dispatched to Ellis Hospital around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday for a report of two males who had arrived to the ER with gunshot wounds.

Upon investigation, police determined that the two victims came from the area of 1008 State Street.

One male suffered a single gunshot wound to the right leg. The second male suffered a single gunshot wound to his left leg. Neither injury is considered to be life threatening.

Both victims were treated and taken to Albany Medical Center.
