GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – A Union hockey player made his professional hockey debut at the Adirondack Phantoms game Friday night.
Shayne Gostisbehere hit the ice for the first time all season without his Union teammates, and he admitted it was different to have the Phantom on the front of his jersey and not the “U.”
A number of his Union teammates were in the stands cheering him on. Gostisbehere said knowing they were in the arena made him feel comfortable.
The Hobey Baker nominee admitted it was different to come off the ice with a loss and not a win, but it’s all part of the learning and building process.
