SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - More than 150 women police officers, state troopers, investigators, government agents and criminal justice professionals from across New York state are gathering at an upstate hotel for an annual conference.
The fourth annual conference of New York Women in Law Enforcement is being held Wednesday through Friday at the Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs.
The gathering brings together men and women who are active or retired law enforcers to discuss such issues as leadership skills, advantages of DNA testing and suicide prevention for officers.
New York Women in Law Enforcement's board of directors includes women from local municipality police departments, the state police, county sheriff's offices and government agencies across New York.
