Free Father's Day concert: City of Albany presents a free Father's Day Concert at the Corning Preserve's Albany Riverfront Park Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 16 at 7:00pm. A salute to the U.S. Armed Forces and a celebration of both the United States Army's 238th birthday this June and the Watervliet Arsenal's 200th year of operation, the concert will feature performances by two acclaimed military ensembles: The USO Liberty Bells and the 94th Army Band. The show will end with a spectacular fireworks display over the Hudson River. Food and beverages are available for sale.

50 cent ice cream cones: Stewart's is offering 50¢ single scoop ice cream cone this Father's Day, June 16, at any Stewart's Shop.

Free felines for Father's Day: The Humane Society announced Free Felines for Father's Day to help celebrate national "Adopt a Shelter Cat Month." Every cat over 6 months old will be free and cats less than 6 months old will be half-price Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16. In addition, all cats and kittens adopted this weekend will have a free microchip. The offer is also available at the satellite adoption centers at PetSmart stores in Latham and Glenmont and the Petco on Clifton Park, as well as all off-site adoption clinics including Curtis Lumber's Pet-A-Palooza.

Father's Day Car Show: The Village of Scotia will host its 15th Annual Cruisin' on the Avenue car show from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Mohawk Avenue between Jumpin' Jacks and Sacandaga Road. Craft vendors, music performances and balloon artists will line the street for event. There will be a Mayor's Choice Plaque and trophy award ceremonies. Plus, the first 200 to attend will also receive free dash magbets. 

Free ride on Saratoga & North Creek Railway: For the second year in a row, dads will get a free ticket to ride the train with the purchase of a child's ticket.
