7-year-old boy struck by car in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany police are investigating a pedestrian-auto collision that occurred on South Pearl Street Saturday night.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of South Pearl Street for a report of a child hit by a car. Upon arrival, officers located a seven-year-old male who had been struck by a vehicle.

The child was treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
