GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - A 9-year-old Gloversville boy was killed Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike near an intersection, police say.
Police say the victim, 9-year-old Jonathan Blaney, passed away from injuries he sustained from the accident. He was hit at around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Pine Street and Bloomingdale Avenue.
The driver, 49-year-old Brian Wilson of Gloversville, was driving a Dodge pick-up truck. Police say Wilson has not been arrested and is not facing criminal charges at this point.
This incident is still under investigation, as police look to interview witnesses, and more information is expected to be released.
