ALBANY N.Y. –Authorities are currently investigating four street robberies that occurred this past weekend in Albany

According to police all victims were assaulted and had property stolen from them.

Officials believe these street robberies are connected in some way.

All of the robberies occurred during the late night hours and most of the victims were walking alone.

Two of the incidents on Saturday happened in the area of Quail Street.

The third crime unfolded on Partridge Street where the two victims were kicked and punched.

The most recent street robbery occurred Sunday on the 100 block of Lancaster Street.

Albany Police say this is a good reminder for people to walk in groups whenever possible.

Authorities also advise you to avoid texting and talking on the phone as this will make it easier for a robber to steal your phone and other property.

Officials say if you are wearing headphones, set the volume where you'll be able to hear what is happening around you.

The four street robberies are still under investigation.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call police.
