TROY, N.Y. – Arrests of three suspects in relation to two separate homicides have been made by the Troy Police Department.
Three people were brought in to the Troy Police Department Monday night. Authorities said two were arrested in connection to the Allen and Maria Lockrow deaths, and one was arrested in connection to the death of Robert Rivera.
Husband and wife, Allen and Maria Lockrow, were found beaten in their First Avenue home on the morning of August 20. Allen was deceased when police arrived to the scene. Maria was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Their missing blue Ford Escape was a key piece of evidence, and police confirmed on Monday the vehicle had been found.
Police responded to a call for a suspicious death around 4:20 a.m. June 20 on the third floor of 603 Second Avenue. The body belonged to 54-year-old Robert Rivera.
Police would not comment on the possible cause of death; however, neighbors said they heard gunshots. His death was later ruled a homicide.
Troy has been plagued by several violent crimes in recent months, including a string of arsons.
Troy Police Chief John Tedesco and Mayor Lou Rosamilia will hold a press conference at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Troy Police Station in relation to two recent homicides.
They would not release any other details regarding the press conference.
According to authorities all three suspects will be arraigned in Troy City Court Tuesday morning.
