CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - A fundraiser is being held for a toddler with a rare, genetic skin condition Sunday afternoon.
Baby Jax will turn two on August 20. He was born with Recessive Dystrophic EB (RDEB). This condition does not allow Baby Jax’s body to produce a certain protein needed to hold skin onto his body, which results in painful blisters.
Sunday, from noon to 4pm at Spare Time on Route 9 in Clifton Park, there will be a Bowl-A-Thon. The cost is $20 per person. That cost covers two games, one slice of pizza, and a small soda. There will also be music, a light show, and a 50/50 raffle.
There is no cure for RDEB. Baby Jax is raised by his single mother.
