The DEC has at least one report of bears wreaking havoc on a home in Tannersville. Our crews stopped to talk with one resident about the problematic bears, and one of those bears decided we shouldn't be talking about her behind her back.

Bears have been an issue for ever in Hunter. A friend had added hot pepper in their garbage and the bears did not return that season.
