ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany Police say the 7-year-old boy struck by a car on South Pearl Street over the weekend has died.
A makeshift memorial and a sign reading "Slow down kids are crossing" has been set up on South Pearl Street where the accident happened.
Albany Police Spokesperson Steve Smith tells the NEWS CENTER the boy has died of injuries he sustained from being struck by a vehicle on the 600-block of South Pearl Street Saturday around 8 p.m. Police are continuing to investigate the accident. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located the 7-year-old male. He was treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.
