Brush fire on train tracks caused delays

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- Dozens of responders worked the scene of a Saturday afternoon brush fire along Hays Road.

It was put out by late this afternoon.

According to the East Greenbush Fire Department, the fire was in the area of the railroad tracks that cross Hays Road, by Route 9J.

Authorities tell NEWS10 ABC the fire was in a two-acre area, and not near any buildings

At the height of the response, three fire departments, totalling around 75 to 100 firefighters, were on scene.

The cause is not yet known.
