CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Sleet and ice fell throughout the day in Clifton Park Wednesday knocking down power lines and leaving hundreds of residents without power.

A tree fell in the area of Beechwood and Aspen Road around 6 p.m. Wednesday knocking down power lines. The downed lines left hundreds of nearby residents without power late into the night.

Crews worked to repair the damaged line and restore power, though they did not have an estimated time for restoration.

Eileen Kelley said she was cooking dinner when she heard the tree fall. She said she was just focused on staying warm despite the lack of power.

“I’m listening to music and have a fire going,” she said.
