SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Near the boat docks at Lee’s Campground, the body of a deceased adult male was found Wednesday.

Authorities received a 911 call at about 1:24 p.m. reporting the body floating in Fish Creek east of Route 9P in the town of Saratoga.

According to authorities, the body of an adult male was found face down in the water. The body was taken to Albany Medical Center where an autopsy will be performed on Thursday to determine the cause of death.

Sheriff's Michael Zurlo says the discovery was made by a campground manager.

It is unclear at this time if the victim had a medical condition that caused the drowning. He reportedly told those in the area that he was going for a swim.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is still underway, but no foul play is suspected at this time.

Police have not identified the victim, pending the notification of his next-of-kin.
