DELANSON, N.Y. - Crews were at the scene of a fire in Delanson on Saturday night.

The fire broke out at 1714 Main Street and several agencies were called in to help fight the fire.

Delanson Fire Chief Kevin Morrison said the call came in as a basement fire and when they arrived on scene, they saw smoke coming from the home. Two people have to be evacuated.

Morrison said debris in the house made it difficult for firefighters to get to the fire at first.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
