GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – Six search warrants and five arrest warrants were executed in a number of homes in Gloversville and Johnstown on Thursday, leading to seven arrests.
Four of the warrants were executed on East Eighth Avenue and Fremont Street. During the search of East Eighth Avenue, a member of the Bloods street gang was found in possession of crack cocaine and $5,000 in cash. Thirty-one year old Maurice “Mo/Big Homie” Wallace has been arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Fifty-three year old Debra Hayes was also arrested and charged for Criminal Nuisance and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Another search warrant was executed on Steele Avenue. Forty-one year old Darnell “D” Alston was found with cocaine and $200 in cash. He has been arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The four arrests warrants were executed at four different places of residence in Gloversville and Johnstown. Forty-seven year old Clyde Jones, 25-year old Marvin “Loco” McLaurin, 37-year old Toni Borromeo, and 24-year old Mark Atty all face two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance.
Police say McLaurin is an alleged member of the Bloods street gang. The sixth search warrant was executed in his home. Authorities found crack cocaine, prescription narcotic, marijuana, and about $1,600 in cash.
Six out of the seven people arrested have been arraigned on their charges and were sent to Fulton County Jail without bail. Hayes was processed and released on an Appearance Ticket.
The Gloversville Police Department, Johnstown Police Department and NYS Police worked on the case.
