The Saratoga Sheriff's Department says Paul Lasher, 18, of Scotia was killed on State Route 50 around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police say Lasher was driving southbound on State Route 50 a little north of Outlet Road when he tried to re-enter the road, overcorrected and ended up traveling sideways into the northbound lane.

That is when police say his truck hit a mini-van traveling northbound.

Police say Lasher was taken to Saratoga Hospital and pronounced dead.

The driver and passengers of those cars were taken to Albany Medical and Ellis Hospital for minor injuries.
