GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – At least three students have turned themselves in to Guilderland Police in connection to a rap clip posted to YouTube in early November.

Four Guilderland High School junior boys face the misdemeanor charge of Cyberbullying. NEWS10 ABC reached out to the school's superintendent, who declined comment saying it is a police matter and not up to the school district.

The four students turned themselves into police on Thursday and were issued an apperance ticket.

The teenagers were suspended on November 13 for their involvement in a YouTube clip the school called a form of cyber bullying.

The vulgar rap song, which ran for five minutes, contained the names of several Guilderland High School students and obscene language. The video was viewed more than 1,500 times before the video was taken off the website.

Principal Thomas Lutsic sent out a letter to parents regarding the audio clip which played while displaying a photo of the Guilderland High School sign.

The clip was taken down from the website after school administrators contacted YouTube.

Authorities have stated that they hope this case sends a message regarding cyberbullying.
