Glens Falls man accused of sexual abuse at nursing home

GREENWICH, N.Y. - New York State Police arrested a man after he was caught allegedly sexually abusing an incompetent resident at a Granville nursing home.

Police say 71-year-old Theodore Davidson of Glens Falls was visiting the Orchard Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Granville when he was caught having sexual contact with an acquaintance who is a resident at the home.

The arrest occurred after a staff member at the facility walked into the patient's room and observed the act. The incident was then reported to the facility administration who in turn contacted the State Police and an investigation ensued.

He has been charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person 1st-degree and sexual abuse 2nd-degree.
