SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A serious accident in Saratoga Springs Sunday night has left one person dead.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department received a 911 call about a serious personal injury accident that occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Route 9 South at the intersection of the East/West Road of the State Park.
That accident involved two motorcycles and an SUV.
The driver of one of the motorcycles was seriously injured and transported to Saratoga Hospital. The driver was pronounced dead a short time after the accident.
The driver of the second motorcycle and a passenger were both transported to Albany Medical Center with what police say appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV was transported to Saratoga Hospital and was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic on Route 9 was reduced to one lane in each direction from the time of the accident until 2:30 a.m. Monday for police to conduct accident reconstruction.
