SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – A South Glens Falls teacher is on paid leave from the district and is now facing criminal harassment charges.

Michael Yeager, 43, allegedly struck a student on the back of his head on three separate occasions, twice with his hands and once with a ruler, according to State Police.

In a letter sent to parents last week, Superintendent Michael Patton said his office learned of the alleged incident on Wednesday after a complaint was filed with police.

Patton says any parents with questions should contact his office.
