ALBANY, N.Y. - A local man will spend the next 8 years in State Prison after he was found guilty of possessing 69 grams of crack cocaine.
Thirty-five year old DaShawn Crooks was found guilty of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance after a jury trial in July.
Crooks was found guilty of possession with the intent to sell more than half an ounce of crack cocaine, which equaled 69 grams. Albany Police investigated Crooks' residence under a search warrant in November 2012.
