Man injured from Emmett Street shooting

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Emmett Street on Saturday night.

According to the Schenectady Police Department, they responded to the area of 926 Emmett Street around 11:30 p .m. on Saturday for a report of a man being shot.

As officers arrived, they found a 55-year-old man who had been shot in the chest. The man was treated at the scene. He was then taken to Albany Medical Center.

Authorities are investigating the shooting.
