CORINTH, N.Y. - A Corinth family is trying to stay strong on a heartbreaking, one-year anniversary.
The Rosenbrock's lost their little girl, Vivienne, to a sickness one year ago Thursday. The family is keeping the memory of their girl alive and have even gotten the community involved.
Ashley Rosenbrock said to remember her daughter, she decided to try something unique, a Facebook call to folks to do a random act of kindness in memory of little Vivienne.
Late Wednesday night, she posted the idea of Vivienne's Random Act of kindness, or RAOK, on Facebook and immediately she had thousands of likes. She asked for people to ‘pay it forward', by doing small acts such as purchasing coffee for someone or even leaving a neighbor a gift.
Wal-Mart jumped on the ROAK opportunity and so did Outback Steakhouse, paying it forward for people, many of whom never even knew Vivienne or her family.
There were people both young and old at the Rosenbrock's home Thursday evening, enjoying one another's company and even having a balloon and lantern release.
Ashley said her little girl was amazing, full of energy, and she obviously is missed every day. But the outpouring on support from people willing to pay it forward with a cup of coffee or leaving a neighbor a gift has left her feeling so much joy on an anniversary that is also filled with sadness.
