SCOTIA, N.Y. – Authorities say they are attempting to locate a woman who suffers from dementia.

According to Scotia Police, Wilma Trotter, 60, has been missing since Friday morning.

Trotter suffers from dementia. Police say she was dropped off at a residence on Washington Avenue near Livingston Avenue by cab around 5:15 a.m. Friday. However, she does not know anyone in that area and had no reason to go there.

Police say Trotter has not been seen or heard from since.

Trotter is described as a black female, 5'4" tall, weighs 200 lbs., and has brown eyes and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a dark full-length dress, dark poncho, and a red pillbox hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Schenectady Police, who have taken over the case.
