CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - The State Department of Environmental Conservation says the same moose that was seen near Clifton Park on Sunday was spotted Monday near the Northway's Exit 8.
The moose was reported Sunday evening near the northbound exit 9 of the Northway, near Route 146 in the town of Halfmoon. DEC Environmental Conservation Police herded the moose into a wooded area so that it would not pose any harm to people, property or itself.
On Monday, the same moose was seen at the Northway Golf Driving Range on the Crescent Road at Exit 8 of the Northway. The moose is now in the nearby woods.
DEC Conservation Police will be watching to once again ensure that it does not pose harm to people, property or itself.
On Tuesday, DEC Wildlife staff says they will attempt to immobilize the moose and transport it to a site in the Adirondacks for release.
