A key witness took the stand for the defense Wednesday, in the Michael Mosley murder trial, giving him an alibi.
Mosley's mother, Wilma Mosley, testified he was at her house the night Arica Schneider and Sam Holley were murdered in their Troy apartment back in 2002. She also testified that same day, he came home from a snow boarding trip with his son and had a cut on his hand, backing up Mosley's story that his blood found at the crime scene was the result of a cut he already had, that reopened when he went there to give Sam a ride.
Mosley wiped tears away as his mother spoke of his two children. Soon after, Arica's mother left the courtroom sobbing.
The prosecution began its cross examination, arguing the weather was not conducive for snow boarding the day Mosley says he took his son.
That line of questioning will continue Thursday morning. Also, Mosley himself is expected to take the stand Thursday to to tell his side of the story.
