SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The budget for the 2014 racing season will be discussed at meeting of New York Racing Association officials Wednesday.

The new budget plan is expected to provide better services for the upcoming season, but it will cost more for visitors to the track.

NYRA officials are projecting to reach a profit of $250,000 with the new budget, but that means increasing prices for admission, box seats and parking.

Officials are looking to raise grandstand admission from $3 to $5, and clubhouse tickets will increase from $5 to $8.

The increase in prices comes after NYRA expects to lose $10.5 million and a decline in attendance in the 2013 season.
