ALTAMONT N.Y. - The Altamont Fair, one of the largest and most famous fairs in the state will be holding its opening day Tuesday.

Every year the fair showcases different exhibits, entertainment, amusement park rides, food vendors and bake-offs.

The fair is celebrating 121 years and this year there are a variety of new attractions and acts that have been requested by fairgoers.

Fair officials say they are excited to introduce a unique motocross maneuver group called Brigade FMX.

According to officials this group has opened for major events including NASCAR. Brigade FMX will be performing at the fair every day and is expected to be a popular attraction for fairgoers.

The Coronus Hollywood Circus will be returning to the fair for its fourth year. This year the circus will have two new attractions, a team of jugglers from Europe, and clown and dog act.

The circus will be performed at the fair daily, twice a day on weekdays and three shows on weekends.

The fair will be open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day until Thursday of next week.
