RENSSELAER, N.Y. – A new $38 million control center was unveiled by the New York Independent System Operator Tuesday morning.

The center will have the latest digital monitoring technologies, all in an effort to enhance grid reliability and security throughout the Empire State.

NYSIO is a not-for-profit corporation that's responsible for operating New York's bulk electricity grid.  It's just one of the agencies that asked for an investigation into why there's been such a spike in energy bills this season.
