Nurses to rally after annual legislative conference

ALBANY, N.Y. – A rally will be held in Albany on Saturday by the New York State Nurses Association.

The rally will begin at 4 p.m. at the Department of Health office entrance in the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.

Saturday's rally of NYS Nurses Association of RN's will be held directly after the session of the annual Legislative Conference. Nurses plan to march through the concourse and deliver a petition to the NYS Department of Health which calls for an end to healthcare inequality.

NYSNA Nurses say they want the DOH to end policies that worsen healthcare inequality including hospital cuts, closures in low-income communities of floor, and unsafe RN staffing levels I hospitals.

The rally is sponsored by the NYS Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators.
